Come discover Georgia:

Tourcaster brought on three new driving tours for the Peach State.
Let's start with Margaret Mitchell's Atlanta Driving Tour:
Southern Driving Tours takes you through beautiful neighborhoods while you experience Margaret Mitchell's life. The tour begins by the Margaret Mitchell House, takes you down Peachtree Street, along Piedmont Road, and ends at her gravesite at Oakland Cemetery. With your map as a guide, view her homes and see some of the Civil War battlefields which formed the backdrop for "Gone with the Wind".

Are you a Civil War buff? Let's take a journey through the Battle of Peachtree Creek.

Drive through a beautiful Atlanta neighborhood and over Peachtree Creek as you experience history. The Civil War Battle for Atlanta was actually a series of battles. See the high ground where the scouts were posted and hear the stories of real soldiers who fought the battle, hear music of the era and sounds of the battle. This Southern Driving Tour starts on Beverly Road and ends up at Wesley and Northside Drive.

A trip to Georgia wouldn't be complete without at least passing through the beautiful St. Simon's Island.
Travel back in time to explore St. Simons Island’s history. Hear voices of Fanny Kemble, Anna Matilda King, General Oglethorpe and others as they tell their stories and describe the island. Relive African American slave history. Listen to the poetry of Sidney Lanier and music of different eras as you cruise through marshland and under spreading live oaks. A map leads the way to the St. Simons Lighthouse, the Bloody Marsh, Retreat Plantation, Christ Church and Ft. Frederica.
